Job summary

QinetiQ Group plc is seeking a Senior Programme Manager to lead a critical ISTAR programme with the Ministry of Defence on a multi‑year contract. You will mentor other Senior Programme Managers and own the programme vision, benefits, and delivery while ensuring safety, governance and assurance.

You will lead Project Managers, manage capacity, and work with the Portfolio Office on controls and performance. The role requires DV clearance eligibility and a track record of delivering complex defence

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading a complex ISTAR programme for MOD or equivalent.
• Experience delivering multi-year defence contracts with strong governance and assurance.
• Ability to mentor senior programme managers and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Integrated planning and defining the Programme Management Plan with PMPs.
• Lead budget and cost control across the programme lifecycle.
• Proactively manage risks, issues and escalation with senior leadership.
• Provide stakeholder engagement, governance and performance reporting.
• Drive delivery excellence and on-contract growth through change control.
