Job summary

QinetiQ in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Programme Manager to lead a critical ISTAR programme with the Ministry of Defence on a multi-year contract, reporting to the MD Digital Intelligence.

You will mentor other Senior Programme Managers, own the programme vision, manage resources, schedule, and budget, and ensure safe, compliant delivery with high governance. A DV clearance is required.

Qualifications

• APM/ MSP certification or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Detailed knowledge of programme management and full project lifecycle.
• Ability to lead complex, multi-project environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a high‑complexity ISTAR programme.
• Champion governance, risk, and issue management across the lifecycle.
• Manage budget, scope, and schedule to deliver outputs on time and within budget.
• Chair programme reviews and provide performance reporting.
• Support development and bid activities where applicable.
