Job summary

LJ Recruitment in Manchester is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager for Islamic Banking to drive growth, manage corporate and SME relationships and deliver Shariah-compliant financial solutions.

The role requires strong knowledge of Islamic finance, a track record in corporate banking, and the ability to attract HNWIs while growing deposits and revenue.

Office-based, full-time, with a focus on regulatory compliance and high service standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' RM or similar Islamic banking experience
• Strong experience in corporate and commercial banking
• Proven ability to win new business and grow client portfolios
• Experience preparing and assessing credit proposals and financial statements
• Good knowledge of UK banking regulations and compliance

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with corporate, commercial and SME customers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive client engagement, networking and structured relationship management.
• Attract new corporate clients and HNWIs to the Islamic Banking business.
• Promote Shariah-compliant banking products and services to meet customers' financial needs.
• Grow the deposit portfolio by acquiring new current and fixed-term accounts.
• Prepare, review and process credit proposals for financing facilities.
• Monitor portfolio performance and risk; escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with Risk, Operations and branches for efficient service delivery.
