Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focusing on Android development within a cross-functional Agile team. You will collaborate closely with iOS engineers, business analysts, QA, designers and UX specialists to deliver customer-facing projects.

You will influence the development approach, provide technical assurance, and mentor peers while staying current with evolving technologies. The role is hybrid with UK-based offices and flexible/remote options where possible.

Qualifications

• Extensive native mobile development experience (Swift).
• Accessibility best practice awareness.
• CI/CD experience.
• Experience with generative AI tools to enhance development.
• Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
• Demonstrated TDD and pair programming experience.
• Agile methods (Scrum or Kanban).
• REST API development and/or consumption.
• Strong understanding of MVVM and MVP.

Responsibilities

• Senior software engineer specializing in Android development within a cross-functional Agile team.
