Job summary

National Highways is recruiting a Senior Employee Communications Advisor to develop and deliver employee communications content across intranet, newsletters, and digital platforms, supporting our engagement strategy. The role focuses on clear, timely information to help colleagues understand their part in delivering National Highways' objectives.

It requires strong writing, editing, stakeholder management, and experience in internal communications.

Qualifications

• Background in internal/employee communication.
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationships.
• Experience with digital channels and data-driven evaluation.
• Degree or qualification in journalism or communications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit and publish content across employee channels (intranet, weekly newsletter, digital platforms).
• Partner with Employee Communication Business Partners and stakeholders to advise on priorities.
• Plan and deliver employee communication content and campaigns.
• Use data and feedback to measure effectiveness and improve channels and content.
• Coordinate and support delivery of colleague and leadership events.
• Identify opportunities to enhance channels and reach.
