Croydon Council seeks a Senior Internal Communications Officer to lead communications across 3,500+ employees. Based in Croydon, London, the role combines strategic advice with creative campaigns and engagement activities.

You will deliver campaigns, advise senior leaders, plan staff events, and manage content across digital and traditional channels, in a fast-paced, collaborative team working under a hybrid policy.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in internal communications or corporate communications.
• Can provide confident strategic advice to directors and senior managers.
• Outstanding writing with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience managing complex communications projects from planning to evaluation.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Knows change communications and staff engagement best practice.

Responsabilités

• Developing and delivering creative communications and engagement campaigns
• Providing strategic communications advice to directors, senior managers and project leads
• Planning and delivering corporate staff events, webinars and engagement activities
• Creating compelling content across digital and traditional channels, including video
• Supporting organisational change and improvement programmes through effective and timely communication
• Managing communications responses to corporate issues and reputational risks
• Measuring and evaluating communications activity to improve outcomes and demonstrate impact
• Supporting the Internal Communications Manager as a senior member of the team and helping to drive continuous improvement across the service.
