Job summary

The Council is seeking an Internal Communications Officer on a full-time basis for four to six months to join the Internal Communications Team. You will ensure our 10,000 staff are informed and involved to shape the future of our service, maintaining engagement across sites.

You will manage content on intranet and channels, deliver campaigns, write content, and evaluate outcomes, working with services to drive change and listening to staff voices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience delivering internal communications for a large organisation.
• Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
• Experience working with staff and senior management.
• Strong partnership working and ability to assess complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage content on internal channels (intranet, plasma screens, newsletters).
• Deliver campaigns and write content with the Head of Internal Communications.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate internal campaigns across services.
• Develop two-way and wider staff communications; measure impact.
