Job summary

Building Safety Regulator (BSR) is seeking an experienced Internal Communications Manager for a 4-month hybrid contract. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, you will craft and deliver internal comms strategies, collaborate with Brand, Marketing and Digital leads, and support senior leaders with engagement activities.

You will create engaging content across intranets, articles, blogs, videos and leadership comms, while helping to develop the intranet and evaluate impact using data

Qualifications

• Professional experience working on internal and change communications.
• Experience using analytics, user feedback, and user research to evaluate and improve content.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver audience-focused content across intranets, news articles, blogs, video, graphics and leadership communications.
• Experience of developing internal communication strategies or plans that align priorities, people engagement and business change.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple communications activities and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience of providing trusted communications advice to senior leaders and subject matter experts.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and implementation of an internal communication strategy to support BSR to succeed as a stand-alone organisation.
• Work with the Brand Strategist to embed our mission, vision and values into everything we do.
• Work closely with marketing, media, digital and stakeholder engagement leads to ensure internal colleagues are aware of external activity before it happens and are suitably equipped to engage effectively.
• Provide expert people engagement and communication advice and support to subject matter experts across the organisation.
• Work with the sponsorship team in MHCLG to develop understanding across the two organisations.
• Produce communications content across internal channels (news articles, blogs, videos, graphics, imagery), from brief to publication.
• Support the development of a new intranet.
• Evaluate effectiveness of internal communications using insights and data to refine strategies.
• Monitor trends and audience insights to identify opportunities and adjust strategies.
• Assist in planning and delivery of virtual and face-to-face events, including conferences and all-staff calls.
• Support communications for major people change workstreams and other projects.
