Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Internal Communications and Engagement Officer to support delivery of internal communications plans. You will create high-quality content, engage staff across CUH, identify case studies, and manage core channels including Connect intranet, CUH bulletin and staff Facebook group.

The role requires autonomy, strong organisational skills, and excellent writing.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Strong writing and communication skills for high-quality content.
• Experience liaising with staff at all levels, including senior leaders, to advise on content and channels.

Responsibilities

• Create internal communications content to support CUH priorities and strategy.
• Plan and organise multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Advise on content and channels based on audience insights, escalating issues as needed.
• Influence senior leaders and staff on internal communications content and channels.
• Review processes and suggest service improvements.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Manage resources: Connect intranet, CUH bulletin and staff Facebook group.
• Manage third-party suppliers.
