Job summary

HSB (UK and Ireland) is seeking an IDI Senior Claims Handler in Manchester to oversee claims from FNOL to settlement, including referrals from outsourced partners. You will lead complex losses, ensure regulatory compliance, and support training initiatives within a hybrid work environment.

You will collaborate with underwriting, risk engineering, compliance, and external partners to drive service excellence and profitability while delivering timely, accurate claims resolutions.

Qualifications

• Professional insurance qualifications or working towards them.
• Strong technical claims background gained within Inherent Defect Products.

Responsibilities

• Handle FNOL to settlement and referrals from delegated partners, ensuring quality service.
• Investigate complex losses, assess liability, negotiate settlements and identify recovery opportunities.
• Manage daily workload to meet performance deadlines and maintain customer service standards.
• Support Claims Manager to drive a high-performing culture and adherence to standards.
• Assist in drafting and delivering technical training for the team.
