Job summary

HSB (UK and Ireland) is seeking a Senior Inherent Defects Claims Handler to manage claims from inception to settlement, including referrals from delegated partners. The role focuses on high‑value Inherent Defect claims (£50,000+), supporting training, and maintaining service excellence across internal and external stakeholders.

You will drive efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to a high‑performing claims team in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of Inherent Defect products and coverage interpretations.
• Experience reviewing claim files and identifying gaps to improve quality.

Responsibilities

• Delivery from FNOL to settlement and handling referrals from delegated partners.
• Investigate complex losses, establish liability, negotiate settlements, and identify recovery opportunities.
• Manage day-to-day claims workload to meet service standards and deadlines.
• Assist in drafting and presenting Technical Training and maintaining regulatory compliance.
