Interface Recruitment advertises a Systems Engineer role based in Leeds. The position involves supporting business projects from concept to delivery, and handling 3rd line issues across core systems, with a focus on uptime and robust ITIL/PCI DSS aligned processes.

The candidate will also contribute to DR planning, capacity management, and the ongoing maintenance of servers, VMware, SANS, switches, firewalls, and telephony systems, while mentoring junior staff and driving continuous improvement.

Formación

• Broad spectrum of technological and business project management experience.
• Team collaboration and mentoring of junior support staff.
• Supplier management skills.
• Communication skills at a senior level.
• Ability to operate independently and own major initiatives.
• Design and planning of disaster recovery, capacity, performance and security for systems and networks.
• Specification, justification, and purchasing upgrades to hardware, software and networking equipment; full server administration.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with key business projects from conception to delivery.
• Resolve 3rd line support issues for key business systems.
• Proactively manage the IT infrastructure to ensure maximum system uptime.
• Develop and maintain IT procedural/documentation in line with PCI DSS and ITIL requirements.
• Maintain a viable IT Business continuity and disaster recovery infrastructure as per business requirements.
• Mentor junior support staff and assist where necessary.
• Assist in system capacity planning.
• Constantly review the current IT infrastructure and propose improvements.
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of key IT systems including Microsoft servers, switches, SANS, Vmware, telephony systems and firewalls.
• Build and maintain a secure network.
