Job summary

Leeds United is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join the IT Department in Leeds. The role focuses on 3rd line infrastructure support, system administration, and project delivery to ensure stable, secure, and performant IT services for the club.

You will mentor juniors and work closely with the IT Technical Team Leader. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Windows Server, AD, Azure, and PowerShell, with a proactive, customer-focused approach and a commitment to continuous

Qualifications

• Experience with IAM, VLANs, routing, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP is required.
• Windows Server admin and Active Directory knowledge is essential.
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills are expected.
• Familiarity with Cyber Essentials and cyber security frameworks is preferred.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity planning is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd line infrastructure and systems support, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Administer Windows Server, AD, M365, Entra ID, and Azure infrastructure.
• Design, plan, and support infrastructure projects and migrations.
• Maintain security baselines, access controls, and compliance activities.
• Mentor and support junior IT staff and document knowledge bases.
