Job summary

Arden Resourcing Limited is recruiting a Senior Technical Support Lead for a Birmingham-based, hybrid role within an established MSP. You will act as a senior escalation point, resolving complex infrastructure issues across Linux, VMware and enterprise environments while influencing design and pre-sales activities.

The role emphasizes automation, continuous improvement, and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

Senior 3rd/4th Line Infrastructure Support experience.
Strong troubleshooting across enterprise infrastructure.
Knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) and VMware.
Experience with Apache, NGINX and/or IIS.
DNS, networking and load balancing.
SonicWall or similar firewall technologies.
PowerShell for admin tasks and automation.
Exposure to AI and automation tools for operations.
Excellent communication with stakeholders.
Pre-sales, solution design and technical scoping.
Experience with RFP/RFT responses and quotation design.
Cloud migration projects (Microsoft 365 and SharePoint).
AI-driven service improvements using Copilot or Power Automate.
Relevant Microsoft, VMware, Citrix or SonicWall certifications.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality technical support to a diverse client base.
Engage in technical meetings and guide both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Maintain SLA performance and service delivery quality.
Occasional onsite visits as required.
Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
Drive automation and AI-driven improvements.
Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
