Job summary

AECOM is seeking a seasoned Strategic Procurement professional to join its Advisory Services in the UK. You will drive procurement strategies for flagship infrastructure projects, lead complex tenders and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver value and ensure project success.

The role emphasizes market-tested approaches, supplier engagement and governance, with opportunities to influence AECOM’s broader procurement service offerings and client relationships across the UK&I region.

Qualifications

• Significant post-qualification knowledge and experience leading procurement of complex construction and infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing the procurement lifecycle from sourcing through to contract management and supplier engagement.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Awareness of standard form contracts including NEC.

Responsibilities

• Provide procurement advice including understanding client drivers and project success factors, to design the optimum delivery model and contract strategy.
• Manage competitive procurement processes including market engagement, shortlisting, tender development and evaluation.
• Provide advice on commercial aspects, category management and performance management.
• Support work-winning activity including contributing to proposal documentation.
• Support the development of AECOM’s strategic procurement service offering.
