Job summary

DXC Technology in Farnborough is seeking an Infrastructure Platform Engineer to design, implement and manage enterprise-scale infrastructure for defence and aerospace operations. The role covers cloud, virtualization, storage and hybrid architectures in an onsite setting.

You will lead architectural governance, partner with security/compliance teams, and mentor infrastructure teams to deliver resilient, scalable platforms that meet stringent requirements.

Qualifications

• Extensive IT infrastructure experience in an architecture role.
• Proven design and implementation of enterprise-scale platforms.
• Strong cloud and hybrid infra background.
• Experience with defence, aerospace or government IT environments.
• Leadership of technical teams and architectural governance.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise infrastructure architectures spanning compute, storage, networking and virtualization.
• Develop cloud strategy and hybrid roadmaps aligned with security standards.
• Lead platform implementation and modernization of cloud platforms.
• Ensure security and compliance across designs and operations.
• Provide technical mentoring and governance through architecture reviews.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and customers to present recommendations.
