Job summary

Frontline Consultancy & Business Services in Handforth (Cheshire) is seeking two Infrastructure Engineers for a hands‑on role in our Managed Services team. You will support on‑prem, cloud and hybrid environments, own complex incidents and drive improvements across security, resilience and automation.

The role combines project delivery with senior technical support, requiring strong Windows Server/AD skills, virtualization experience, and knowledge of Azure/hybrid identity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years? IT experience including 2+ years in third‑line support or infrastructure engineering (as per HTML)
• Strong practical experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
• Experience with virtualization and cloud/hybrid infrastructure
• Good knowledge of Azure and hybrid identity
• Solid networking understanding (VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs)
• Ability to own complex issues and communicate clearly

Responsibilities

• Implementing and supporting server, virtualisation, storage, networking, backup and replication technologies.
• Providing third and fourth-line technical support for complex infrastructure incidents.
• Supporting Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and hybrid identity services.
• Delivering infrastructure migrations, upgrades and service improvements.
• Maintaining backup and disaster recovery solutions, including recovery and failover testing.
• Monitoring performance and capacity, addressing recurring problems and identifying opportunities for automation.
• Maintaining clear documentation and sharing technical knowledge with the Service Desk and wider team.
