Job summary

SystemRS is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join its global technology team in London, balancing on-premises and cloud environments. The role focuses on VMware, Windows Server, storage, DR, and automation, with AI-assisted development tools.

You will build highly available infrastructure, manage hybrid cloud, and mentor operations, while participating in on-call rotations. 10+ years in enterprise infrastructure and strong comms are essential.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure roles.
Experience managing on-premises and cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, storage, and DR.
Automation focus with PowerShell, Python, and IaC tooling.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern monitoring.

Responsibilities

Support, maintain, and enhance corporate infrastructure across global environments.
Act as escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
Design and implement highly available server and storage solutions.
Build and support VMware hosts, VMs, and storage platforms.
Administer Windows Server, AD, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Exchange, and Microsoft 365.
Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery solutions and DR runbooks.
Plan and execute cloud migration projects to AWS and Azure.
Manage and support hybrid cloud environments.
Configure and maintain monitoring, backup, and recovery solutions.
Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, and IaC.
Leverage AI-assisted coding and automation tools.
Plan capacity and lifecycle management.
Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and support teams.
Participate in on-call support rota.
