Job summary

Frontier Resourcing, on behalf of a leading defence technology organisation, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a permanent, onsite role in Gloucester. You will design, deploy and support secure infrastructure across complex programmes, operating within an Agile environment and contributing to mission-critical government projects.

Candidates must have experience in Agile/DevOps, Linux administration and enterprise server/storage, with current UK eDV clearance essential.

Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Gloucester | Permanent | Full-Time | Onsite | eDV Clearance Required

Frontier Resourcing is partnering with a leading defence technology organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a permanent position based in Gloucester.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team delivering and supporting mission-critical infrastructure for secure government and defence programmes. Due to the nature of the work, current UK eDV clearance is essential.

The Role

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, deployment and support of secure infrastructure solutions across complex programmes. Working within an Agile environment, you'll help maintain operational systems while contributing to the delivery of new capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support secure infrastructure and operational systems.
• Perform system administration, backup and recovery activities.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure, network and application issues.
• Support system installation, maintenance and ongoing improvements.

About you

We're looking for candidates with experience in some or several of the following areas:

Essential Skills:

• Experience working within Agile, Scrum or DevOps environments.
• Strong background in infrastructure or systems engineering across the full project lifecycle.
• Linux administration and deployment.
• Experience supporting enterprise server, storage and desktop infrastructure.
• Ability to take ownership of technical work packages and collaborate with project teams.
• Understanding of large-scale, secure information systems.
