Job summary

Frontier Resourcing is partnering with a leading defence technology organisation to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a permanent position based in Gloucester. The role focuses on designing, deploying and supporting secure infrastructure across complex programmes, in an Agile environment, with emphasis on mission-critical systems and UK eDV clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Agile, Scrum or DevOps environments.
• Strong background in infrastructure or systems engineering across the full lifecycle.
• Linux administration and deployment.
• Experience supporting enterprise server, storage and desktop infrastructure.
• Ability to take ownership of technical work packages and collaborate with project teams.
• Understanding of large-scale, secure information systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support secure infrastructure and operational systems.
• Perform system administration, backup and recovery activities.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure, network and application issues.
• Support system installation, maintenance and ongoing improvements.
• Research and resolve complex technical and system design challenges.
• Translate technical requirements into robust infrastructure solutions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
