Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a long-term contract in Cheltenham. The role focuses on delivering and supporting secure infrastructure within a national-security aligned programme, requiring active eDV/UKIC DV clearance.

The ideal candidate will bring experience across Windows/Linux administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), networking (Cisco/Juniper/Dell/HP), and automation with Ansible/AWX and IaC. Open day rate with potential for permanent consideration.

Qualifications

• Windows Server and Linux administration
• Experience with virtualization ecosystems (VMware/Hyper-V)
• Networking across Cisco/Juniper/Dell/HP environments
• Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Experience with Ansible/AWX and IaC deployments
• Backup solutions (Veeam, NetBackup)
• Technical project delivery and infrastructure design
