Job summary

Sweco is seeking a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join our team across Ipswich, London or Solent offices. You will take ownership of projects from inception to completion, leading drainage and highway design for diverse sectors including residential, healthcare and energy.

You will supervise hydraulic calculations, liaise with clients and regulators, and advance sustainable infrastructure implementations while mentoring junior engineers in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading drainage and highway schemes for private and public sector.
• Strong knowledge of flood risk management principles, drainage, earthworks and highways design.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of complex, sustainable drainage and infrastructure solutions for diverse projects.
• Lead detailed hydraulic/hydrological calculations and highways design using specialist software.
• Produce and review reports, drawings, and technical submissions for planning and construction.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors and regulators to ensure project success.
