Job summary

Marshall Wolfe is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer to oversee a complex international technology estate spanning on‑prem, cloud, Microsoft 365, networking and security. You will act as a senior escalation point and lead infrastructure projects from design through delivery.

You will manage Windows Server, AD, Azure, Intune and M365, while driving governance, security, DR and end‑user technology initiatives across global locations. London hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Strong experience within IT infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Windows Server, VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.
• Azure IaaS, networking and cloud governance.
• Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM and SSO.
• Intune, Autopilot and endpoint security management.
• Microsoft 365 administration and collaboration platforms.
• Backup, disaster recovery and enterprise security best practices.
• Managing vendors, stakeholders and delivering technical projects.
• Palo Alto Firewalls and GlobalProtect familiarity.
• Cisco Switching and ISE experience.
• Citrix / NetScaler exposure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimise Windows Server and AD environments across multiple locations.
• Develop and secure Azure infrastructure, networking, VMs and DR solutions.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online and SharePoint.
• Lead endpoint management with Intune and Autopilot across devices.
• Manage identity and access controls in hybrid AD and Entra ID ecosystems.
• Oversee network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, and switching.
• Coordinate global infrastructure projects with vendors and MSPs.
• Support cyber security initiatives and compliance programmes.

Marshall Wolfe are hiring on behalf of our client, for a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer, to oversee and enhance a complex international technology estate spanning on-premises infrastructure, cloud services, Microsoft 365, networking, cybersecurity, and end-user technologies.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in maintaining, securing, and evolving enterprise infrastructure across multiple international locations. Acting as a senior technical escalation point, you’ll work closely with internal teams and external technology partners while leading infrastructure projects from design through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation, storage, backup and disaster recovery environments.
• Support and develop Azure infrastructure, including networking, governance, VMs, VPNs and disaster recovery solutions.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Purview.
• Lead endpoint management and modern workplace initiatives using Intune and Autopilot.
• Manage identity and access controls across hybrid Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID environments.
• Oversee network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs and switching infrastructure.
• Lead global infrastructure projects and coordinate third-party suppliers and MSPs.
• Support vulnerability remediation, cyber security initiatives and compliance programmes.
