Job summary

Content Guru is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our Engineering team in Bracknell, Berkshire. You will design scalable, automated infrastructure, drive reliability, and collaborate on zero-downtime deployments.

The role requires 5+ years in Infrastructure/SRE/DevOps, strong scripting (PowerShell/Python), and experience with Kubernetes and cloud security. Occasional overnight/weekend work is expected as part of rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 5+ years in Infrastructure, SRE, DevOps or similar roles (or 3+ years plus 2+ years in customer support).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
• Experience with containerisation, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms and security principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Comfortable with overnight and weekend work on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, resilient infrastructure using automation and IaC.
• Improve platform reliability and streamline workflows via automation.
• Develop and maintain proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Contribute to security strategies including threat simulations and playbooks.
• Provide 3rd line support with 1st/2nd line teams for complex issues.
• Coordinate zero-downtime deployments with Development teams.
• Stay on the cutting edge of infra technologies and best practices.
• Engage in PoC and implementation projects to evolve the platform.
• Champion collaboration, agility and continuous improvement.
