Job summary

PhysicsX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – SRE Core Infra to build and operate the shared infrastructure that powers our AI-driven platform. You will work across multi-cloud and on-prem environments, using Terraform, Crossplane and Kubernetes to ensure reliability, security and scalability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years running Kubernetes in production with focus on stability, security and performance.
• Significant hands-on Crossplane experience (compositions, providers, resources).
• Strong Terraform at scale experience including state management, modular design and CI integration.
• Worked across multiple clouds and on-prem environments; identity, networking and storage differences understood.
• Experience with single-tenant and multi-tenant Kubernetes architectures and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of core infra across multi-cloud and on-prem using Terraform and Crossplane.
• Architect and operate Kubernetes clusters for multi-tenant workloads with strong isolation and reliability.
• Define infra provisioning patterns with Crossplane and Terraform for reproducibility and auditability.
• Design and operate secrets management with dynamic provisioning and rotation integrated with cluster identity.
• Manage GPU driver configurations and accelerated compute pools for AI workloads.
• Oversee cluster networking design including CNI, Istio, ingress and cross-cluster connectivity.
• Develop lightweight Kubernetes Operators when automation is needed.
• Set SLOs and reliability targets; lead incident responses and post-mortems.
• Collaborate with security and platform teams on governance and policies.
• Contribute to engineering standards across the platform.
