Job summary

Four Corners in Stockport seeks an experienced housing and tenancy solicitor to manage day-to-day legal work across our portfolio, with rent arrears and possession at the heart of the role. You will work closely with operational teams, handle your own caseload, and use external advisers only where value is added.

This is a practical, hands-on position within a growing residential property business, offering real ownership of cases and the chance to lay foundations for a formal in-house legal

Qualifications

• Three years post-qualification experience in housing/tenancy law.
• Experience handling rent arrears, Section 8 possession and related tribunals.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data protection compliance.
• Experience in contracts review and basic employment law knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage rent arrears and possession proceedings from initial stage through to court where applicable.
• Oversee residential tenancy agreements, notices and related documentation to ensure compliance.
• Provide practical legal advice to non-lawyers and work with external advisers only when needed.
• Support corporate governance, statutory filings and company secretarial matters where relevant.
• Help build the in-house legal function with templates, processes and training.
