Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead on the implementation of a recent grantmaking review, including revision of key grant templates and processes: due diligence, proposal development, assessment rubric, recommendation reports, reporting, partner surveys and grant exit.
- Lead on the summary of progress towards our grantmaking KPIs, providing detailed reports and recommendations for the SLT, Impact Committee and Trustees on a quarterly basis.
- Manage and develop our Impact Committee, a governance body overseeing grantmaking and impact, including Youth Advisory Board members and Trustees.
- Ensure Youth Advisory Board has opportunities to influence activities by collaborating with the Senior Youth Participation Manager.
- Support the development and implementation of our CRM system, ensuring data is captured and maintained accurately.
- Support Impact team in identifying potential grant applicants through research and networking.
- Assist Partnership Managers in grant assessment and relationship management with grantees, including site visits and events.
- Collaborate on implementing and improving our Funder Plus programme for 2026/27 delivery.
- Support Partnership Managers in capacity-building activities for grantees in 2025/26, including communication with fundraising and corporate partners.
Research, Learning and Evaluation (15%)
- Lead data collection and impact reporting processes to capture learning and evidence.
- Support managers in using impact data for analysis and decision-making.
- Work with leadership to articulate the foundation's impact.
- Identify opportunities to improve impact data systems and processes.
- Share learning across teams and externally with peer grantmakers and stakeholders.
Fundraising and Communications (10%)
- Provide data and case studies for fundraising proposals and reports.
- Facilitate engagement activities between partners and donors, including skills-based volunteering.
About You
Skills and experience
- Experience in grantmaking or research within a grantmaking organization.
- Experience developing and implementing grant systems and processes.
- Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce.
- Experience managing partnerships or contracts.
- Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze information and make informed judgments.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong time management with multiple projects.
- Experience in the non-profit, education, youth employment, or youth sector.
- Experience working outside the UK in US, Brazil, or Italy.
- Understanding participatory grantmaking models.
