Marks & Spencer Plc is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Identity Platform. You will design and evolve secure authentication and identity services used by millions of customers and colleagues, owning features end-to-end from design to production.

Qualifications

• Senior software engineer with experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong back-end development with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Experience with identity and access management technologies (OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve secure, scalable authentication and identity services used by millions of customers and colleagues.
• Own features end-to-end: design, develop, test, deploy, monitor and provide production support.
• Shape the technical direction of the Identity Platform balancing security, performance and usability.
• Develop resilient APIs and backend services enabling secure authentication, authorisation, and identity management.
• Champion engineering excellence with clean, maintainable code and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
