Zusammenfassung

Holland & Barrett is seeking a Senior IdAM Engineer to design, build and evolve a modern Identity Platform. You will own solutions from design to production, collaborating across Engineering, Architecture, Infrastructure and Security to deploy scalable, secure identity services.

Key responsibilities include implementing authentication, authorization, SSO and federation using Keycloak or similar platforms, driving IaC automation and contributing to architecture decisions.

Qualifikationen

• Significant experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Backend Engineering, Security Engineering or Identity Engineering.
• Strong programming skills, with experience building production services, APIs and integrations.
• Hands-on knowledge of Identity protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC) and SAML.
• Experience designing and implementing SSO, MFA, federation, authentication and authorisation solutions.
• Experience with modern Identity platforms such as Keycloak or comparable technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring and production troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues and identify root causes.
• Confidence in evaluating technical approaches, challenging requirements and communicating engineering trade-offs.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to influence technical decisions and support other engineers.

Aufgaben

• Design, build and enhance scalable, secure and reusable Identity Platform services, APIs and integrations.
• Develop production-quality software, automation and tooling that simplifies Identity integration across applications.
• Design and implement authentication, authorisation, Single Sign-On (SSO) and federation solutions.
• Evaluate and work with modern Identity technologies, including Keycloak, to support our long-term platform strategy.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate platform infrastructure and configuration.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across applications, authentication flows, infrastructure and Identity services.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, performance and security.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to deliver consistent Identity solutions and reduce bespoke implementations.
• Lead technical discussions, contribute to architecture decisions and champion engineering best practices.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
