Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking an experienced IDAM specialist to become a technical lead for key workstreams. You will translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable identity designs, and guide the delivery of identity-related work packages across strategic projects.

You will work on identity provider and IGA services, strengthening security and the user lifecycle experience, with a focus on RBAC, access reviews and risk management.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive knowledge and practical experience of IDAM tools and principles including SSO, federation, MFA, OpenLDAP, Shibboleth, AD, lifecycle management, RBAC and PAM.
• Experience providing technical direction on strategic, large or complex IDAM/security projects.
• Led technical design activities for IDAM solutions aligned with enterprise architectures.
• Able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and progress.
• Strong identity and security fundamentals with structured design, testing, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Experience in IT service management environments including incident, change and problem management.
• Ability to apply plan-driven or iterative/agile design methods as appropriate.
• Customer-focused approach and strong interpersonal skills across diverse teams.

Aufgaben

• Lead IDAM design activities and technical work packages for strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives, owning plans and timelines.
• Develop secure, scalable technical designs translating university requirements into identity solutions.
• Contribute to IDA m services strengthening security and resilience of university systems.
• Develop patterns, standards and RBAC policies aligned with security best practices.
• Review and improve identity and user lifecycle management processes for a secure user experience.
• Plan and execute end-to-end test plans for IDAM tools and integrations with documented results.
• Monitor identity infrastructure and maintain service documentation to preempt issues.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and communicate progress, risks and issues clearly.
• Support ITIL-aligned incident, problem and change management to improve delivery.
• Horizon-scan identity and security trends to inform senior decision-makers.
