Job summary

DeepL is seeking a Backend Engineer to own the Identity Experience End-to-End, architecting and delivering secure authentication and authorisation features. You will work across the Identity stack, ensuring reliability, scalable design, and collaboration with Product Management and Support.

You will contribute across the stack, using C#/.NET Core, Kubernetes, and Postgres to ship high-quality, user-centric identity solutions for internal and external users.

Qualifications

• Own Identity Experience End-to-End including architecture, deployment and reliability.
• Build for consumer-grade enterprise authentication and authorization.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Support to solve hard product challenges.
• Proficient with C#/.NET Core, Kubernetes and Postgres.

Responsibilities

• Own the Identity Experience End-to-End: architect and build complex, user-facing features across the identity stack; manage systems from problem definition to deployment and reliability.
• Build for reliability and maintainability, lead incident response, and improve code quality and operational health.
• Collaborate with teammates across Identity and adjacent teams to design, scope, and solve hard product and technical challenges.
• Drive pragmatic tech choices using core stack: C#/.NET Core, Kubernetes, Postgres, and AI-assisted tooling.
