AECOM is seeking a Senior Hydrologist to lead flood hydrology assessments and deliver impactful water projects in the UK and internationally. You will apply FEH guidelines, use GIS tools, and produce high-quality technical reports.

Qualifications

• Lead hydrological assessments and flood risk analyses for projects.
• Produce high-quality technical hydrology reports.
• Apply FEH guidelines to derive flood flows for catchments in England.
• Use GIS tools to support hydrological work and mapping.
• Review hydrological assessments within the team.
• Build relationships with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce flood hydrological assessments to inform flood alleviation schemes and risk maps.
• Apply FEH guidance to estimate flows for varied catchments.
• Create and review technical reports with attention to detail.
• Utilise ArcGIS Pro and QGIS to support analyses and visuals.
• Review others' hydrological work and maintain quality standards.
• Engage with clients and other technical disciplines to deliver projects.
• Stay updated on methodological changes and share with the team.
• Act as part of the national hydrologist community.
