Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Hydrologist to lead hydrological assessments across the UK and internationally. Based in a UK office with a flexible hybrid working model, you will deliver flood risk assessments, apply FEH guidance, and produce high-quality reports while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce flood hydrological assessments to inform flood alleviation schemes and flood risk maps.
• Apply FEH guidance to derive flood flows for catchments across England.
• Produce high quality technical reports.
• Use GIS tools (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS) to support work.
• Technically review hydrological assessments within AECOM.
• Build relationships with clients and other technical disciplines.
• Keep up-to-date with methodologies and share learnings with the team.
• Be an active member of the national hydrologists and hydraulic modellers community.
