Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Hydrologist / Hydraulic Modeller to join our UK Water team. You will apply hydrology, hydraulic modelling and flood risk assessment across a varied portfolio of UK and international projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional experience in hydrology, civil or environmental engineering or related field.
• Significant professional experience in hydrology, flood risk assessment and/or hydraulic modelling (roughly 5+ years).
• Experience with hydrological analysis and modelling software (TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS).
• Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate data and modelling outputs critically.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking and leading hydrological assessments, flood risk studies and hydraulic modelling for infrastructure, water management and climate resilience projects.
• Applying hydrological and hydraulic modelling techniques, including evaluation of data, assumptions and results.
• Providing clear, technically robust advice to clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Contributing to UK and international projects including infrastructure, development, mining, water management, hydropower and due diligence assignments.
• Supporting project delivery, technical quality, proposals and client development while mentoring less experienced colleagues.
