Job summary

Ramboll UK Limited is seeking an experienced Hydrologist and Hydraulic Modeller to apply hydrology, hydraulic modelling, and flood risk assessment across a varied portfolio of projects in the UK and internationally.

You will work with Ramboll specialists to deliver multidisciplinary projects, develop technical expertise, and grow client relationships. The role suits someone who enjoys solving complex problems, critically evaluating data, and collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent professional experience in hydrology, civil or environmental engineering or geography.
5+ years in consultancy, industry, or similar environments with hydrology/flood risk
Experience with hydrological analysis and hydraulic modelling tools (TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS)

Responsibilities

Undertaking and, as experience develops, leading hydrological assessments, flood risk studies and hydraulic modelling for infrastructure, water management and climate resilience projects.
Applying hydrological and hydraulic modelling techniques, evaluating data, assumptions, model performance and results.
Providing clear, technically robust advice to clients and project teams, translating outputs into practical decisions.
Contributing to a diverse portfolio of UK and international projects including infrastructure, development, mining, hydropower, and due diligence.
Supporting project delivery, technical quality, proposals and client development while sharing knowledge with colleagues.
