Job summary

Ramboll is hiring a Hydrologist/ Hydraulic Modeller for the UK Water team. You will apply hydrology, flood risk assessment and hydraulic modelling across a varied portfolio including UK infrastructure, development schemes and international assignments in climate resilience, water management, mining and hydropower.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects, grow technical expertise, and strengthen client relationships, with opportunities to mentor colleagues and contribute to

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in hydrology, civil or environmental engineering, geography or related field.
• 5+ years in hydrology, flood risk or hydraulic modelling in consultancy/industry.
• Proficiency with hydrology analyses and hydraulic modelling software.
• Ability to evaluate data, assumptions and model outputs critically.
• Strong written and verbal communication for clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking and, as experience develops, leading hydrological assessments and flood risk studies.
• Applying modelling techniques and critically evaluating data and model performance.
• Providing clear, technically robust advice to clients and project teams.
• Contributing to a diverse UK and international project portfolio across infrastructure, mining, hydropower and water management.
• Supporting delivery, quality, proposals and junior colleagues.
