Job summary

Ramboll UK Water is seeking an experienced Hydrologist and Hydraulic Modeller to apply expertise across infrastructure, climate resilience, water management, mining and hydropower projects in the UK and internationally. You will develop technical solutions, lead hydrological assessments and modelling work, and contribute to client relationships while growing the capability of the team.

Qualifications

A degree in hydrology, civil or environmental engineering, geography or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in hydrology, flood risk assessment or hydraulic modelling.
Experience with hydrological analysis and software such as TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS.
Strong analytical skills and ability to critically evaluate data and modelling outputs.
Clear written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Undertake hydrological assessments and flood risk studies, and lead hydraulic modelling for infrastructure, water management and climate resilience projects.
Apply hydrological and hydraulic modelling techniques and critically evaluate data, assumptions, and results.
Provide clear, technically robust advice to clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
Contribute to a diverse portfolio of UK and international projects including infrastructure, mining, water management and due diligence.
Support project delivery, technical quality, proposals and client development while sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues.
