Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Hydrologist/Hydraulic Modeller to join our UK Water team. You will apply hydrology, hydraulic modelling and flood risk assessment across infrastructure, climate resilience, and water projects for the UK and beyond.

You will work with specialists across Ramboll to deliver technically robust solutions, develop client relationships and advance technical expertise in multidisciplinary contexts.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in hydrology, civil/environmental engineering, geography or similar.
• 5+ years of relevant consultancy or industry experience in hydrology or flood risk.
• Practical experience with hydrological analysis and established modelling software (TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to critically evaluate data and outputs.
• Clear written and verbal communication with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrological assessments, flood risk studies and hydraulic modelling for infrastructure and climate resilience projects.
• Apply appropriate modelling techniques, evaluate data and model performance.
• Provide clear, technically robust advice to clients and project teams.
• Contribute to a diverse portfolio of UK and international projects across sectors.
• Support delivery, proposals and client development while sharing knowledge with colleagues.
