Job summary

Arup is seeking an experienced Water Modelling lead to drive hydraulic modelling projects across the design process. You will build, simulate and interpret 1D/2D hydraulic models, including InfoWorks ICM, to deliver strategic and site-scale flood risk solutions for UK clients.

You will lead teams across several offices, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to technical reports, business cases and project deliverables. A strong understanding of SuDS and urban drainage is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering water projects in the UK with public and private clients.
• Experience in hydraulic modelling techniques within the UK water industry.
• Progress toward chartership with a professional body is desirable.
• Strong project management, client and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and simulate hydraulic models and extract results for design solutions.
• Lead hydraulic modelling projects through the full design process.
• Mentor junior team members and manage project delivery to clients.
• Develop technical reports, business cases and check calculations.
