Job summary

Arup’s Water team in Sheffield, with activity across Leeds, Manchester and beyond, focuses on stormwater and wastewater modelling to assess flood risk and design nature-based solutions. You will lead hydraulic modelling projects, develop design solutions and collaborate with clients including regulatory bodies and infrastructure operators.

The role requires experience with 1D/2D hydraulic modelling, GIS, and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering water projects in the UK.
• Experience with hydraulic modelling techniques in the UK water industry.
• Degree in Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field; progress toward chartership.

Responsibilities

• Build and simulate hydraulic models; extract results and produce technical reports.
• Lead hydraulic modelling projects across the design process and coordinate technical specialists.
• Mentor and develop junior team members; deliver business cases and project deliverables.
