Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to lead hydraulic studies across a diverse portfolio of UK water and wastewater projects, from feasibility through to construction support.

You will develop hydraulic models using HADES, VARISM and Flow-3D, provide technical guidance on pumping systems and conveyance assets, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, sustainable engineering solutions.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Hydraulic Engineering or related discipline.
Experience delivering hydraulic engineering projects in UK water sector or regulated infrastructure.
Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and hydraulic structures.
Experience using hydraulic modelling software such as HADES, VARISM, Flow-3D or equivalent.
Experience leading technical delivery on multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

Deliver hydraulic studies, steady state and transient analyses for water infrastructure projects.
Develop and review hydraulic models, calculations and reports using specialist software.
Provide technical guidance on pumping systems, hydraulic structures and conveyance assets.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, project managers and clients to deliver practical solutions.
Support site investigations, design reviews and construction activities where required.
Mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to best practice improvements.
