Stantec is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to lead hydraulic studies across UK water infrastructure projects. You will manage technical delivery, mentor junior engineers and work with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Hydraulic Eng or related discipline.
• Experience delivering hydraulic eng proj in UK water sector.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics & transient analysis.
• Experience using hydraulic modelling software (HADES, VARISM, Flow-3D).
• Experience leading technical delivery on multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong communication & stakeholder management skills.
• Mentoring or supporting junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hydraulic studies (steady state & transient) across water infra projects.
• Develop & review hydraulic models, calculations & reports using specialist software.
• Provide technical guidance on pumping systems, hydraulic structures & conveyance assets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, PMs & clients to deliver practical solutions.
• Support site investigations, design reviews & construction activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practice in hydraulic engineering.
