Qualifications

Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering or related discipline.
Experience delivering hydraulic engineering projects within the UK water sector or another regulated infrastructure environment.
Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, hydraulic structures and transient analysis.
Experience using hydraulic modelling software such as HADES, VARISM, Flow-3D or equivalent.
Experience leading technical delivery on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Experience mentoring or supporting the development of junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Delivering hydraulic studies, including steady state and transient analysis, across a range of water infrastructure projects.
Developing and reviewing hydraulic models, calculations and technical reports using specialist software such as HADES, VARISM, Flow-3D or equivalent.
Providing technical guidance on pumping systems, hydraulic structures and conveyance assets.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, Project Managers and clients to develop practical, sustainable engineering solutions.
Supporting site investigations, design reviews and construction activities where required.
Mentoring and supporting junior engineers while contributing to the continuous improvement of hydraulic engineering best practice.
