Job summary

BT Group is seeking a Senior Network Tooling Engineer to support the HMRC network tooling estate, ensuring monitoring, alerting and automation run smoothly. The role includes lab environments, virtualisation, and collaboration with multiple teams to drive improvements.

You will troubleshoot complex networks and contribute to a modern, AI-enabled operations landscape, with flexible hybrid working and security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting and configuring enterprise monitoring, management and automation platforms.
• Hands-on with VMware virtualised environments and network virtualization labs.
• Familiar with automation/scripting and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and lifecycle management for HMRC network tooling estate.
• Install, configure, administer and troubleshoot virtualised environments and networking components.
• Lead investigations and support transitions of projects into live operation.
• Collaborate with HMRC, suppliers and internal teams to drive service improvements.
