Job summary

Opticore IT in Central London is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to transform how networking is delivered across a global infrastructure. The role blends networking and software engineering to build automation, APIs and tooling in a hybrid setup in Central London, up to 3 days a week.

You will work on automation frameworks, observability and production reliability while partnering with engineering, platform and security teams.

Qualifications

• Strong Python & software engineering fundamentals.
• Solid networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code: Ansible, Terraform, Jinja2.
• Docker & Kubernetes experience.
• Monitoring, observability & telemetry in distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve automation frameworks for network provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions and APIs; integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver resilient, scalable systems.
