Job summary

gevernova is seeking an experienced Lead Control System Verification & Validation Engineer in the United Kingdom to drive HVDC verification activities and ensure on-time delivery across projects. The role includes technical leadership of multiple work packages, coordinating with project teams and ensuring adherence to processes.

You will design Factory System Test cases, lead FATs with clients, and develop HVDC system models in PSCAD, RSCAD, and MATLAB SIMULINK, while supporting commissioning

Qualifications

Essential: Engineering degree or equivalent in power systems and power electronics.
Significant HVDC verification experience and control & protection design background.
Strong knowledge of 400kV substations and HVDC systems (LCC/VSC/SVC).
Fluency in English and willingness to travel globally.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain validation & verification activity plans per project schedule.
Design and review Factory System Test cases and lead FATs with clients.
Develop HVDC system modelling in PSCAD/RSCAD and perform dynamic studies.
Provide support during dynamic commissioning and improve team effectiveness.
