Job summary

gevernova is seeking a Verification and Validation Engineer focused on HVDC control and protection systems. You will analyse requirements, model control solutions, and generate hardware/software validation inputs for the lab and field environments.

You will develop RSCAD models, set up RTDS lab interfaces, and drive dynamic studies using simulation tools, ensuring robust verification and risk management across projects.

Qualifications

• HVDC or high voltage experience with related control and protection systems.
• Experience in validating system requirements and test execution.
• Proven ability to model control systems and generate test specifications.
• Fluent English communication and ability to work with global teams.
• Knowledge of electrical standards and lab-based validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and create test specifications against software requirements.
• Perform gap analysis between standards and customer requirements and define tests.
• Understand project milestones and ensure testing activities are provisioned.
• Communicate failures clearly to engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Develop RSCAD models and conduct studies using them.
• Define control system requirements for RTDS lab setup and interfaces.
• Troubleshoot lab setups and debugging issues with the team.
• Support NPI testing and product care teams for new/existing tools.
• Conduct dynamic performance studies using offline and online simulations.
• Assist validation engineers in executing tests and reporting results.
• Review test results and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
