Science and Technology Facilities Council seeks a maintenance professional to lead the operation of heating, ventilation and mechanical services at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Harwell. You will manage safety, compliance and upgrades, coordinating with in-house and third-party teams.

The role requires a strong background in HVAC/mechanical systems, CAFM tooling and on-call duties, with a commitment to high safety and quality standards.

Formación

• Good working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and mechanical services.
• Experience of fault finding in heating, refrigeration ventilation and mechanical plant systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Take a lead role in the operation and maintenance of Estates mechanical services (heating/air conditioning/chilled water and other piped services).
• Oversee works carried out by junior staff and third-party suppliers.
• Ensure all work complies with current safety and technical legislation (risk assessments, method statements, permits).
• Organise maintenance, remedial works and upgrades and communicate impact to stakeholders.
• Sign off work through the CAFM package via mobile device.
