Job summary

STFC is seeking a qualified individual to lead Health and Safety management for its tenancy activities. This pivotal role ensures compliance and safety across our cutting-edge facilities in the UK. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a degree in science or engineering, and NEBOSH National Diploma.

Responsibilities include managing SHE services, advising tenants, and developing safety management systems. The position is full-time, requiring occasional on-site presence at Daresbury and Rutherford Appleton Laboratories.

Qualifications

• Educational background in science or engineering at degree or HND level.
• NEBOSH National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Professionals is required.
• Experience in SHE advisory role in relevant sectors is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SHE services ensuring compliance.
• Provide SHE advice and guidance to tenants.
• Develop tenant Health and Safety management systems.
• Ensure reporting and investigation of SHE incidents.
• Assist with SHE training programs.
