Job summary

CERAP UK is seeking an experienced HVAC Field Engineer to support a major nuclear construction project at Hinkley Point C. The successful candidate will act as a client representative on site, overseeing HVAC installation activities and ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality requirements and health and safety standards.

This hands-on, site-based position requires strong technical expertise, a proactive approach and the confidence to challenge non-compliant work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HVAC installation within industrial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation methods and engineering documentation.
• Experience supervising or monitoring contractors and installation teams.
• Good understanding of construction safety, quality control and technical compliance.
• Ability to identify technical issues, challenge non-compliant work and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC installation activities and monitor contractor performance on site.
• Ensure installation work complies with approved drawings, technical specifications and safety requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, identify technical issues and follow up on corrective actions.
• Challenge unsafe practices or non-compliant installation work, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Liaise with contractors, technicians and site supervisors to resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with office-based engineering teams and provide regular progress and technical reports.
• Support quality inspections and installation verification activities.
